SA Graan/Grain

of grain, as well as an archive.
SA Graan/Grain
provides an effective platform for advertisers, as
well as a special focus every month. Advertisers are offered the
opportunity to share information on their products with readers.

D
uring the year under review Grain SA’s public relations
strategy focused strongly on networks and awareness
activities. In order to promote the strategic plan, various
initiatives were implemented to encourage and promote
cooperation and a culture of sharing information internally,
and of creating a better understanding of the organisation and
facilitating discussions between role-players in agriculture and
stakeholders, externally.
Aim
To publicly position Grain SA’s value-adding role through an
integrated communication and media strategy.
To engage with role-players, policy makers and industry
leaders to promote grain producers’ role in ensuring
sustainable food security.
To provide Grain SA members with relevant and timely
information to support them in decision-making.
To ensure at all times that our members are well informed
on Grain SA’s activities.
Our achievements
Enhanced relationships with the Ministry of Agriculture,
Forestry and Fisheries and other relevant government
departments, entities and partner organisations.
Successfully engaged with the ministry as well as local,
provincial and national Departments of Agriculture, Forestry
and Fisheries, highlighting the role grain producers play to
ensure food security.
Successfully utilised and grew social media platforms to
inform members and the public about Grain SA’s activities
and the importance of agriculture.
Influenced the media to communicate the message
regarding the importance of agriculture, which ensures
food security in our country.
Inauguratednew, exclusiveGrain SAmembers' hall at NAMPO.

strategie sterk op netwerke en bewustheidsaktiwiteite
gefokus. Ten einde die strategiese plan te bevorder is verskeie
inisiatiewe geïmplementeer om samewerking en ’n kultuur om
inligting intern te deel aan temoedig en te bevorder, sowel as om
ekstern ’n beter begrip van die organisasie te skep en gesprekke
tussen landbourolspelers en belanghebbendes te fasiliteer.
Doelwit
OmGraan SA se waardetoevoegingsrol deur ’n geïntegreer-
de kommunikasie- en mediastrategie in die openbaar te
posisioneer.
Om by rolspelers, beleidmakers en bedryfsleiers betrokke
te raak om graanprodusente se rol in die versekering van
volhoubare voedselsekerheid te bevorder.
Om aan Graan SA se lede relevante en tydige inligting te
verskaf om besluitneming te ondersteun.
Om deurlopend te verseker dat ons lede goed ingelig is oor
Graan SA se aktiwiteite.
Ons prestasies
Versterk betrekkinge met die Ministerie van Landbou,
Bosbou en Visserye en ander relevante staatsdepar-
temente, entiteite en vennootorganisasies.
Slaag daarin om by die ministerie sowel as plaaslike,
provinsiale en nasionale departemente van Landbou,
Bosbou en Visserye betrokke te raak en graanprodusente
se rol in voedselsekerheid te beklemtoon.
Benut en laat groei sosiale media-platforms suksesvol om
lede en die publiek oor Graan SA se aktiwiteite en die
belangrikheid van landbou in te lig.
Beïnvloed die media om die boodskap oor die belangrik-
heid van landbou, wat voedselsekerheid in ons land
verseker, oor te dra.
Onthul nuwe, eksklusiewe Graan SA-ledelokaal by NAMPO.
