Landbouchemikalieë ter waarde van R2,331 miljard is in die
2014/2015-produksieseisoen vir mielieproduksie gebruik. Die
koste van chemikalieë vir die 2013/2014-produksieseisoen
was R2,187 miljard, wat op ‘n styging van R144 miljoen dui.
JAARLIKSE VERGADERING MET DIE
OESBESKERMINGSBEDRYF
Graan SA se Produksie/Inset-werkgroep het onder meer
die volgende sake met CropLife bespreek:
► Marktendense in die graanbedryf en produksiekoste
vir die 2015/2016-produksieseisoen.
► Die internasionale en plaaslike situasie in die landbou-
chemikalieëbedryf.
► Prystendense en beskikbaarheid van landbouchemikalieë.
► Registrasievereistes van biologiese middels.
► Faktore wat die oesbeskermingsbedryf oor die
volgende paar jaar kan verander.
DIESELBEDRYF
Die laer plaaslike groothandelprys van diesel het verligting
gebring, want diesel verteenwoordig sowat 15% van die
veranderlike produksiekoste. Graan SA verskaf ramings van
dieselprysskommelings vir die maand wat voorlê sodat
produsente dieselaankope kan beplan.
PRYSE
Die dollarprys van Brent-ruolie het vanaf September 2014
tot September 2015 met 50,8% gedaal (

). Die
verswakking van die rand oor dieselfde tydperk het dié
dalingseffek in randterme gedemp sodat die plaaslike
groothandelprys van diesel in Gauteng met slegs 12%
vanaf Oktober 2014 tot Oktober 2015 gedaal het.

Grain SA’s Production/Input Working Group discussed
the following issues with CropLife:
► Market trends in the grain industry and production
costs for the 2015/2016 production season.
► The international and local situation in the agro-
chemical industry.
► Price trends and availability of agrochemicals.
► Registration requirements for biological substances.
► Factors that can change the crop protection industry
over the next few years.
DIESEL INDUSTRy
The lower domestic wholesale price of diesel brought
relief as diesel constitutes about 15% of the variable
production costs. Grain SA provides estimates of diesel
price fluctuations for the month to come so that
producers can plan diesel purchases.
PRICES
The Brent crude oil price in dollar terms decreased by 50,8%
from September 2014 to September 2015 (
Graph 4
). The
weakening of the rand over the same period inhibited
the decreasing effect in rand terms so that the domestic
wholesale price of diesel in Gauteng decreased by only
12% from October 2014 to October 2015.

and an expected producer price

maize for the coming season improved the ratio between
the diesel price and the maize price to a certain extent.
DIESELKORTING
Die Nasionale Tesourie se verhoging van die algemene
brandstofheffing en die Padongelukkefondsheffing het op
1 April 2015 in werking getree. Omdat die dieselkorting 40%
van die algemene brandstofheffing en die totale Padon-
gelukkefondsheffing uitmaak, het die terugbetaling vanaf
187,8 sent per liter tot 250 sent per liter gestyg (
Grafiek 6
).
