S
hell sees the agricultural sector
as a fundamental part of its future
plans, enabling producers to sup-
port themselves, their communi-
ties and the nation as a whole.
The company reaffirmed its commitment
to the farming community this year at
NAMPO, re-establishing the fact that
the farming sector is the lifeblood of the
economy.
The farming community adds sustenance
to the economy and to people’s lives. It is
therefore important for Shell, as they have
done for the past 113 years in South Africa,
to ensure that producers are supported
as best as they can, offering them optimal
products in order to enable them to be as
productive as possible. The success of the
farming sector has an immense spill-over
effect to the rest of the country, and it’s
important to recognise the important work
that producers are doing.
Shell has a longstanding presence in South
Africa, exceeding a century, and the com
pany has a close relationship with the
agricultural industry and the NAMPO Har-
vest Day in particular since this show’s
inception.
As the leading global brand in the diesel
engine space, Shell has been recognised
as the global leader in lubricants for the
eleventh consecutive year, in addition to
the prestigious recognition by John Deere
as its global supplier of the year.
By working together, Shell is able to sup-
ply smarter lubrication solutions through
its technical department via various service
offerings, including a technical helpdesk,
Lube Match, LubeExpert and lubrication
surveys delivered through highly trained
Shell technical staff consisting of office-
based technical helpdesks and field-based
lubrication engineers. Shell makes all of
this available to its customers to ensure
that the business of the producer continues
to flourish for decades to come.
