Increase yields with timeous,
professional application
O
rsmond Aerial Spray’s head office
is situated at the airfield in Beth-
lehem, South Africa. Formed in
1973 with one aircraft, the com-
pany has built up to a fleet of approximately
25 operational aircraft.
Although the majority of the aircraft are
based in South Africa, Orsmond Aerial
Spray also operates internationally.
The advantages of aerial crop spraying in-
clude, but are not limited to the following:
Speed of application: Cover large areas
in a short time and reduce pest/disease
effect on the crop in minimal time.
Access wet or undulating farm land:
No churning up of the crop or land and
no damage to ground equipment.
Prevent trampling by wheel tracks:
Yield loss can be up to 5% by ground
application. No disease transfer, no soil
compaction and wheel track erosion is
prevented.
Improved efficacy: Good droplet cover-
age, targeted canopy penetration and
no ground application wheel dust to
reduce effectiveness.
Trained applicators: All pilots are train-
ed, licensed and experienced.
Professional risk management, planning
and record keeping.
Reduced exposure to weather varia-
tions: Able to take greater advantage of
shorter weather windows and less need
to be spraying in poor weather condi-
tions.
Our goals

Ensure all aerial applications are applied
