Grondhervorming is ‘n prioriteit wat die
landbousektor se volle ondersteuning het.
Die sukses van grondhervorming moet egter
gemeet word aan die mate waartoe nuwe
toetreders ‘n positiewe bydrae lewer tot
voedselsekerheid, werkskepping en landelike
ontwikkeling.

Minister Senzeni Zokwana was the first agriculture minister since 2004 to attend the Grain SA Congress – and on the same day that he
celebrates his birthday, on 4 March. The only MEC for agriculture at the congress was Ms Manketsi Thlape from the Northwest Province.

49%
The Brent crude oil price is 49% lower than this time last
year (13 March 2014). The main contributor to the diesel price
increase is mainly the weak rand. The price of diesel is likely
to be at the same levels as in April 2014 – R11,70 per litre.
