11 Jun 2012On the subject that is reported to vex farmers by having maize seed under the control of foreign companies Monsanto and DuPont, may I humbly point out that we as a country lost control of the seed of our staple food a long time ago when those responsible for making such decisions allowed foreign companies to sow and plant genetically modified (GM) maize crops freely when they should have labelled and segregated them.
