07 Dec 2011Agri-business company Senwes on Tuesday posted a rise in half-year net profit in the six months to October 2011, boosted by grain producers who achieved a good crop yield with high grain prices.
Their crops realised earlier than normal in the 2010-11 season and they paid off their debt at a faster pace. Arrear debt as at October 31 was at the lowest level in five years and although credit margins were placed under pressure, the risk profile of the client base strengthened further, the company said.
