03 Feb 2012THE agribusiness sector is more positive about prospects for the next 12 months than it was last year, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC’s) latest Agribusinesses Benchmarking Survey.
An improvement in grain prices last year was one of the main factors that made agribusiness leaders reasonably confident of income growth this year, said PwC agribusiness industry leader Frans Weilbach.
The survey of agribusiness leaders and CE s was done in November. Most agribusinesses in SA used to be agricultural co-operatives.
