21 Oct 2011U.S. wheat and corn closed higher on Thursday, rebounding from an early slide with corn ending 3 percent above session lows as Germany and France raised hopes for a resolution to Europe's debt crisis.
Soybeans also bounced to settle flat, 2 percent above session lows, as investors placed bets in grains and equities ahead of a key meeting between Europe's leaders.
Jerry Gidel, analyst for North America Risk Management Inc., said trading focused far more on macroeconomic concerns than on grain market fundamentals.
