17 Oct 2011Frustration at the agriculture department’s inability to implement projects, address problems in the sector that could jeopardise national food security and show measurable results for money spent on agricultural reform projects has reached a high point.
During a presentation of the department’s annual report for 2010/2011, members of parliament’s portfolio committee for agriculture, forestry and fisheries berated officials for the lack of progress in solving the problems facing agriculture in South Africa.
