ast year saw Eqstra Holdings cel-
ebrate its fith year anniversary of be-
ing listed on the JSE and launched
its new slogan,
Moving value
. This
is centred on the group’s philosophywhich
states our belief in providing the lifetime
value you expect from your capital equip-
ment.
At thisyear’sGrainSANAMPOHarvestDay,
visitors can expect, as always, the best in
class brands supplied by Eqstra Industrial
Equipment (EIE), a division of the Holdings
group.
Products on display
EIE’s agricultural division will be featuring
equipment from the SAME Deutz-Fahr ag-
ricultural range of tractors as well as the
Standen Pearson potato planting and har-
vesting brand. This will include the SAME
Tiger 604WDS/F, apopular haulage tractor
with small-scale farmers. A series of SAME
Explorer and Deutz-Fahr Agrolux tractors
which are commonly used for soil prepara-
tion, will also form part of the display and
in addition, theSAME Iron 165.6 andDeutz-
Fahr Agrofarm 420which are used for large
scale commercial farming, will also be ex-
hibited.
The range of the compact SAME Frutteto
tractors will be on show on the EIE stand.
This familyof specialist tractors is designed
specifically for orchard and vineyard appli-
cations and is capable of responding effec-
tively to the widest variety of requirements
with the compact dimensions also ensuring
manoeuvrability in the tightest spaces, but
providing thenecessary kilowatts touse for
spraying. These tractors can be foundwith-
in the farming communities in Cape Town,
Nelspruit and Limpopo.
Toprovide for thepotatogrowingsector,EIE
will showcase the Deutz-Fahr Agrotrac 150
and various potato planters, bedformers
and harvesters fromStandenPearson, a re-
nowned brand in the potato industry in the
UnitedKingdom.
A line up of JCB equipment will also be on
displaywhichwill include skid steers, rough
terrain forklifts as well as Paladin attach-
ments. These ranges of products are extre-
mely popular in the farming sector as they
cater forawidearrayof taskssuchas trench-
ing, clearing forestry, fruit tree planting and
transplanting. Built for all terrain usage, the
JCB equipment can be used inmuddy con-
ditions aswell as onunevenground.
Toyota Forklift, the market leader in South-
ernAfrica formaterialshandlingequipment,
will also be showcasing its diesel fork-
lifts which are preferred in the agricultural
sector.
What to look forward to
As the new slogan denotes, we do not only
value the lifetime of the capital equipment,
but we also value our customers. This year
Eqstra will be offering a return trip to the
NAMPO Harvest Day to one lucky custom-
er who concludes a purchase of any of the
abovementioned equipment in the month
of April 2014. The flight will be on one of
Eqstra’s Flying Lions, an American T-6
Harvard plane which is part of the group’s
brand ambassadors’ aerobatic team.
