ideofied, being the latest technology in video verification
to an alarm, is ideal for today’s producer. It is completely
wireless, whichmeans the installation is quick and a lot less
costly as there are no additional labour required for cables
andwires. No digging or trunking is needed and no unsightlywires
areglued to yourwalls.
To add on to the system is easy and effortless. Videofied can be
integrated into the current burglar alarm to enhance an existing
system. When themotion viewer is activated, it sends a 10 second
video clip to the operator; this can be the security company who
does themonitoringor to the property owner or both. The system’s
motion viewers are designed to protect our clients’ privacy and
thereforedonot allow remote look-in capabilities.
With video verification of what is happening at the property, police
responsewill be faster andmore prepared for the situation awaiting
them. A video-verified alarm provides immediate visual information
and the monitoring station operator is a virtual eyewitness to the
event. Videofied is serving as the link between the operator and the
local police.
Videofied can be used to enhance existing burglar alarms for faster
police responsewith a simple “upgrade kit” attached to the existing
alarm panel. However, it can also be installed as a “stand alone”
alarm system, complete with its own keypad, siren, contacts and
other peripherals. The wireless sensors can be installed wherever
sensors/cameras areneeded, indoors andoutdoors. Nowires to cut
in the event of a break in, means that even if the motion viewer is
removedby an intruder, it can continue transmitting video.
With Videofied there will be more effective dispatch policies,
prioritising crimes in progress over standard burglar alarms in the
case of false alarms. In the unfortunate event of a “true activation”,
lawenforcement arriveson scenepreparedand this leaves less time
for intruders to inflict injury, steal or damage property. As well as
providing greater safety
for the responding officers
as they will be aware of
the actual position of the
intruder, being armed or
not, howmany of them are
present and so forth.
For the producer with
livestock, Videofied can
also manage a false alarm
where an animal may have
activated the alarm, or in
the event of a wild animal
posing a threat to the
livestock. Asmentioned, it is
a truly wireless system and
can therefore be used out in
the veld aswell.
